Rise of the Moors

Following the recent standoff with police involving a group identifying as 'Rise of the Moors', I did a quick search and found this wiki page, which is a pretty good kernel of history that likely explains how the origins of black Muslims in the U.S. was based on a false claim, and resulted in the subsequent Nation of Islam, gang violence in Chicago and beyond. And, of course, Obama, who distanced himself from his former self-proclaimed mentor, Jeremiah Wright, who shared the same anti-semitic rhetoric as Nation of Islam, Farrahkan. And, why it makes sense that BLM has recently been pushing Israel about discrimination against Palestinians. More of my recent thoughts about this...

And, in the same way, why the Wakanda mythos became such an important statement for some black Americans. Be sure to read that wiki to put this Moors thing in perspective.

Combined with lost African history and identity through slavery, post emancipation displacement and southern diaspora opened a cultural schism that separated Christians from urban blacks and propelled them to reach for fantastic identities, including Afrofuturism

To cope with disenfranchisement, these phony origins compelled self organization and established hierarchies around a mythological, race-focused nationalism, a lot like what happened in Germany after WWI, but more volatile. Not to jump on the Nazi name calling band wagon, just sayin', this is what happens when people are hopelessly demoralized and desperate, then someone starts a cult and suddenly everyone is bringing potato salad to a potluck.

As often is the case, the death of the founding cult leader created a power grab like an inbred family fighting over grand daddy's will, and the new heads created competition that quickly devolved into infighting, similar to Mexican drug cartels.

On the Christian side of the schism, Martin Luther King's family and disciples suffered a similar split, with only his niece, Alveda upholding MLK's vision while the children squabbled over his estate, and his would be disciples Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson dangled King's legacy from their mouths like a frenzy of Groucho Sharx. Wanna buy a duck? Much the way that NWA tainted all the fun and funk of old skool hip hop like a turd in a punchbowl to promote anger and glorify criminality. And now they all shoot each other. Again, like the Mexican cartels.

Ultimately, these urban thug cults earned the attention of corporate sponsors who found them extremely useful and in exchange offered conciliatory immunity from the police. Now they've all made a dash to seize power surrounding the major cities, especially through unprecedented discounts at participating Target stores, much to the chagrin of black small business owners who's property was burned to the ground (but covered by insurance and restored by black contractors). Big tech is to BLM and CRT as the Colombians are to Mexican Cartels. I'm sure these corporations get a massive tax write off, contributing towards non-profits and community 'building'. And now Amazon will no longer drug test their drivers and lobby for legalization. It's all coming together rather nicely.

But now, with Trump out of the office, the Great Tim Cook has declared he's had enough of all this nonsense,  and everyone at Apple should return to work by September. So, thanks for your cooperation, Black people, now you can all resume with hustling EBT cards and reaction videos. Chinese slave laborers, please go ahead and limber up so we can all return to business as usual.

All that's left for Black America is professional sports, the music industry, quotas into institutions of higher learning and fast tracking through Corporate America. And the goddamn post office. Because according to Biden, blacks have no access to attorneys or accountants, and they're voter-suppressed. So, either it's time for reparations, or revolution! Here's Rise of the Moors' glorious website, best viewed on Netscape.
