Apple is 'Decentralizing Out of Silicon Valley'

Apple is 'Decentralizing Out of Silicon Valley' (9to5mac.com)68

9to5Mac writes:Amid pushback regarding Apple's plans to return to in-person work this fall, Mark Gurman at Bloomberg reports that Apple is "ramping up efforts to decentralize out of Silicon Valley." In the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, Gurman reports that Apple has faced a variety of problems recruiting and retaining talent because of its emphasis on Silicon Valley.

Gurman writes that Apple has been "losing talent" because of the high-cost of living in the San Francisco Bay Area. "Many engineers lamented that they couldn't balance living expenses with other pursuits like college tuition for their children and long-term savings," Gurman says.

Furthermore, Apple has struggled to diversify its workforce because of its focus on Silicon Valley. It also competes with a variety of companies for talent, including Amazon, Google, and Netflix. The cost of operations is also high, and Gurman writes that "Apple could get the same work out of employees demanding far lower salaries in less pricey regions." For these reasons, Apple is reportedly looking to decentralize out of Silicon Valley.

From Bloomberg's report:Decentralization across the company is entering full swing, and Apple has engaged in a costly expansion from the sunny coasts of LA and San Diego to the Pacific Northwest of Oregon and Washington, the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, Iowa's Midwest, the Eastern Seaboard of Massachusetts, Miami and New York. Notably, it's also spending $2 billion on building new campuses in Austin, Texas, and North Carolina. That's in addition to hiring engineers in Canada, Germany, New Zealand, Spain and the U.K. Altogether, the moves will add tens of thousands of jobs outside of Silicon Valley.

As it keeps moving beyond Silicon Valley, Apple will pilot a hybrid office and remote work arrangement globally when it forces nearly all staff back to its offices in September.

Fast weight loss and gut reduction without diet or exercise

I cleaned my stomach, upper and lower intestine and lost 5-10 lbs. in just over a week, regardless of diet and exercise.

Stomach

Digestive enzyme: Digest Gold

Where: Compare Amazon, Vitamin Shoppe

How: 2 capsules daily for 3 days, then once weekly or as needed with heavy meats for maintenance

What to expect: Cuts inflammation and bloating immediately, very effective

Refrigerated probiotic: Correct gut flora, reduce inflammation, boost mood via proper serotonin

How: Daily for at least one month

What to expect: May not be noticeable, but recommended enough to include as a regimen

Upper intestine

Cleanser: The Cleanser 7-day

Where: Compare Amazon, Vitamin Shoppe

Blow out toxic build up, cut inflammation, reset body for proper diet

How: 7-day cleanse, drink tons of water and be near a bathroom

What to expect: Uncomfortable the first day, improves thereafter, only required for one week or primary cleansing. Significant weight loss, visible gut reduction and noticeable tension relief.

Lower intestine

Gentle, tasteless laxative: Kirkland LaxaClear, Miralax, Amazon ClearLax

Where: Compare Costco, Amazon

How: Take daily with water, results in one solid movement shortly thereafter (1 hour or so)

What to expect: Noticeable gut reduction and relief, better than fiber supplements that haunt you throughout the day

Dietary suggestions

To lose weight, no carbs Monday-Friday for one month, then low carb weekends. Once weight loss is achieved, maintain consistent carbs (try oatmeal). Will cut cholesterol from high or slightly high to dead in the middle of the healthy range.

Bottled water to promote frequent consumption, add lemon juice or other citrus for flavor

Cut sugar. Replace simple sugar cravings with fresh/frozen fruit (not dried) and nuts.

Add healthy fats to stabilize blood sugar - avocado is good, add to smoothies.

Cut caffeine - this will improve hydration and balance blood sugar.

Replace beef and chicken with fish for ease of digestion

Replace bread with rice or buckwheat Japanese soba noodles - this will reduce cholesterol and promote weight loss.

Promote good bacteria with fiber

Drink water before meal to promote fullness, eventually shrink stomach size to reduce portion requirement and hunger

--

Protein: Costco salmon -  $18-20/3 filets w/ basil pesto butter. Boil for 7-10 min.

Vegetable: Steamed squash, zucchini + basil pesto butter

Carbohydrate:

Eliminate bread.

1/2 cup oatmeal with banana.

Snacks: Pistachios, sea salt & vinegar

Daily smoothie clears the gut, tastes sweet, provides fiber and green nutrients, provides hydration: Spinach (fresh or frozen), avocado (refrigerate), sugar-free chocolate whey protein, bottled water, large pitcher (fill up blender, makes 3 shakers).

Green tea.

Suggested exercise

Low impact walk, hike at one's own pace, incline treadmill, swimming, any movement, stretching.

My exercise routine here.

Updates

Seasonings:

I'm now using cayenne pepper and turmeric powders on my salmon & zucchini with italian dressing, and may do the same with sardines, which I recently started eating - never tried them in my life, very healthy and inexpensive - not bad, a lot like tuna minus the mercury and contaminants, but I do prefer to remove the spine - no heads included, packed in olive oil.

I think the cayenne is good on my stomach and it always high-fives me on the way out.

I'm using cinnamon and ginger powders on my oatmeal.

All of this is good for digestion, weight loss & metabolism, blood sugar, immunity, etc.

Fiber recommendations here.

Rise of the Moors

Following the recent standoff with police involving a group identifying as 'Rise of the Moors', I did a quick search and found this wiki page, which is a pretty good kernel of history that likely explains how the origins of black Muslims in the U.S. was based on a false claim, and resulted in the subsequent Nation of Islam, gang violence in Chicago and beyond. And, of course, Obama, who distanced himself from his former self-proclaimed mentor, Jeremiah Wright, who shared the same anti-semitic rhetoric as Nation of Islam, Farrahkan. And, why it makes sense that BLM has recently been pushing Israel about discrimination against Palestinians. More of my recent thoughts about this...

And, in the same way, why the Wakanda mythos became such an important statement for some black Americans. Be sure to read that wiki to put this Moors thing in perspective.

Combined with lost African history and identity through slavery, post emancipation displacement and southern diaspora opened a cultural schism that separated Christians from urban blacks and propelled them to reach for fantastic identities, including Afrofuturism

To cope with disenfranchisement, these phony origins compelled self organization and established hierarchies around a mythological, race-focused nationalism, a lot like what happened in Germany after WWI, but more volatile. Not to jump on the Nazi name calling band wagon, just sayin', this is what happens when people are hopelessly demoralized and desperate, then someone starts a cult and suddenly everyone is bringing potato salad to a potluck.

As often is the case, the death of the founding cult leader created a power grab like an inbred family fighting over grand daddy's will, and the new heads created competition that quickly devolved into infighting, similar to Mexican drug cartels.

On the Christian side of the schism, Martin Luther King's family and disciples suffered a similar split, with only his niece, Alveda upholding MLK's vision while the children squabbled over his estate, and his would be disciples Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson dangled King's legacy from their mouths like a frenzy of Groucho Sharx. Wanna buy a duck? Much the way that NWA tainted all the fun and funk of old skool hip hop like a turd in a punchbowl to promote anger and glorify criminality. And now they all shoot each other. Again, like the Mexican cartels.

Ultimately, these urban thug cults earned the attention of corporate sponsors who found them extremely useful and in exchange offered conciliatory immunity from the police. Now they've all made a dash to seize power surrounding the major cities, especially through unprecedented discounts at participating Target stores, much to the chagrin of black small business owners who's property was burned to the ground (but covered by insurance and restored by black contractors). Big tech is to BLM and CRT as the Colombians are to Mexican Cartels. I'm sure these corporations get a massive tax write off, contributing towards non-profits and community 'building'. And now Amazon will no longer drug test their drivers and lobby for legalization. It's all coming together rather nicely.

But now, with Trump out of the office, the Great Tim Cook has declared he's had enough of all this nonsense,  and everyone at Apple should return to work by September. So, thanks for your cooperation, Black people, now you can all resume with hustling EBT cards and reaction videos. Chinese slave laborers, please go ahead and limber up so we can all return to business as usual.

All that's left for Black America is professional sports, the music industry, quotas into institutions of higher learning and fast tracking through Corporate America. And the goddamn post office. Because according to Biden, blacks have no access to attorneys or accountants, and they're voter-suppressed. So, either it's time for reparations, or revolution! Here's Rise of the Moors' glorious website, best viewed on Netscape.
