Dietary suggestions
To lose weight, no carbs Monday-Friday for one month, then low carb weekends. Once weight loss is achieved, maintain consistent carbs (try oatmeal). Will cut cholesterol from high or slightly high to dead in the middle of the healthy range.
Bottled water to promote frequent consumption, add lemon juice or other citrus for flavor
Cut sugar. Replace simple sugar cravings with fresh/frozen fruit (not dried) and nuts.
Add healthy fats to stabilize blood sugar - avocado is good, add to smoothies.
Cut caffeine - this will improve hydration and balance blood sugar.
Replace beef and chicken with fish for ease of digestion
Replace bread with rice or buckwheat Japanese soba noodles - this will reduce cholesterol and promote weight loss.

I'm now using cayenne pepper and turmeric powders on my salmon & zucchini with italian dressing, and may do the same with sardines, which I recently started eating - never tried them in my life, very healthy and inexpensive - not bad, a lot like tuna minus the mercury and contaminants, but I do prefer to remove the spine - no heads included, packed in olive oil.
